Grit ‘n Grace

Lance Earl’s family history traces back to the earliest days of Mormonism. He springs from those who were in close association with the Mormon Prophet Joseph Smith. Lance is the product of polygamy, and all that entails. From his infancy, he knew nothing but the inner workings of Mormonism. For sixty years, he served the church in many positions, including Gospel Doctrine instructor, Elders Quorum president, missionary, High Priest leadership, and temple veil worker.

The Israelites wandered for forty years in the wilderness. As a married couple, Lance and Grace wandered for forty years in the wilderness of Mormonism. The Bible reveals forty as a period of testing, trial, probation, and preparation. Their time in the wilderness prepared them for a multi-state ministry to share the Biblical Jesus with the Mormon people.

Grit’ n Grace is Lance’s story of pain and healing, sorrow and rejoicing, darkness and light, persecution and prosecution. Its pages reveal the Mormon drive to silence him with gag orders, forced separation from family and friends, false accusations, and criminal charges leading to courtroom drama.
